I work at a pizza restaurant. So when I made dinner tonight the only thing I could think to make after hours serving other people pizza was, well, pizza.Chicken bbq with mushrooms and onions…and of course a vegetarian option: pesto, feta, red pepper, onionsI know…how original to steal all the good ideas from the place I work. Some guy from NY told me today that the pizza he had was the best since leaving his home up north. I would consider that a successful job by us. I doubt this pizza was of that quality, although my dad’s from New York and he didn’t complain. This was store bought crust, however. I do make my own crust sometimes, but store bought in a pinch is a-ok with me.Pizza is a beautiful thing-kind of like salads. Anything goes; you can make anything work. I’ve had corn on pizza, ice cream on pizza (obviously a dessert variety), steak, hummus. Crust is just a blank canvas waiting to be filled with whatever is in the fridge, pantry, or freezer. The palette of toppings is endless and virtually fail proof. And heaven knows, we all need a little fail proof in our lives!
