These pictures just can’t do my dinner justice. Forgive the baby camera and amateur photography skills. I was in charge of dinner tonight and so I was scrounging around in the freezer and found some thin little pork chops. This was literally maybe 15 minutes before work that I decided I needed to defrost these little chops and cook them in a jiffy. When I got them going, I cut up some fresh rosemary to cook with it. I sliced mangoes (one of my least favorite fruits to cut), intending to make a chutney, but when I got home tonight I abandoned that idea and just had the plain mango, which was so good!
I know what you are thinking. Where are the veggies? All protein and no salad? No roasted garden delights? Never, ever fear:All the good stuff, plus fresh tomatoes. Heaven. As I write this, my cat Turner is clinging to me on my lap. Literally. Sometimes he acts like a neglected child that never gets any love and has to have overdose amounts of it. Ridiculous.
And for any interested: the recipe for the dump cake is this: dump, in this order into a baking dish (mine was a square, probably 8X8 one) one can of crushed pineapple, one can of cherries, one yellow cake mix, dot the top with butter and cream cheese and bake at 350 until brown and bubbly. My recipe said this only takes 20 minutes, in my oven it actually took closer to an hour.
