easy as pie.

My mom started making ice cream pies years ago and people just love them. They go gaga and act as if it is the greatest, newest dessert, when it is really the easiest thing. I made one today for a birthday dinner tomorrow evening and thought I’d do a little step by step. For this pie, I used an Oreo crust with Blue Bunny Peanut Butter Panic ice cream

1. Spread the bottom of the crust with crunchy peanut butter that has been warmed so it is smooth-able.

2. Cover with mounds and mounds of softened ice cream.

3. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and cover with softened cool whip. 4. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and more melted peanut butter. Stick in the freezer until chilled and hard.5. Eat a cold piece on a hot, hot day with great relish and delight.
